MA 1st year core and optional courses 2009/2010
First Year Masters
The pre-session is followed by two 12-week semesters (Fall and Winter Semesters) and a two-month Spring Semester. The first year of the program focuses on the core courses in economics, such as macro- and microeconomics, and quantitative methods. In the Fall and Winter Semesters all courses are mandatory; during the Spring semester, students have optional courses only. Over the summer vacations, students are encouraged to do data collection in their home countries so that to use it for their thesis or Applied Econometrics project (if the appropriate course is chosen in second year).
